Volunteer Position: Back to School, Event Volunteer
Role
Summary:
Volunteers can assist in an array of duties for the Back-to-School event,
helping to ensure children and families have a fun, welcoming, and organized
experience as they receive essential school supplies.
Duties and Responsibilities, as assigned upon arrival:
· Greet and check in families and children as they arrive
· Help distribute backpacks, school supplies, and informational materials
· Assist children in selecting items based on grade level or school list
· Monitor and restock supply stations as needed
· Support activity booths (crafts, coloring, etc.)
· Help serve at food & beverage stations
· Provide general support to event staff and follow instructions from event leads
· Clean up and break down event materials after the event ends
· Maintain a positive, friendly, and patient attitude with families and children
Position Requirements:
· Must be 14 years or older (parental consent required for minors)
· Ability to stand, walk, or lift light items for extended periods
· Comfortable working in a busy indoor setting
· Willingness to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds
· Dependable and punctual; must commit to assigned volunteer shift(s)
· Must be willing to follow all event instructions for the event
